About Me
Child & Adolescent Psychiatry for ADHD, Anxiety & Depression
I provide psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and young adults who are struggling with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and related emotional or behavioral concerns. My approach is warm, collaborative, and family-centered, with a focus on helping young people feel understood while creating practical treatment plans that support success at home, in school, and in daily life.
Bright Path Psychiatry
Meet Melissa
Before becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I spent six years working as a registered nurse on an inpatient child and adolescent psychiatric unit, where I cared for young people experiencing severe anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and behavioral challenges.
This experience allows me to bring a deep understanding of the mental health challenges that children and teens face, as well as the importance of supporting families and schools in creating effective treatment plans.
I offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing follow-up care. I understand that families are often looking for clear guidance, timely support, and a provider who can listen carefully and help them make informed decisions. My goal is to create a supportive and respectful space where families can better understand what their child is experiencing and what treatment options may help.
Bright Path Psychiatry serves children, teens, and young adults across Long Island, with telehealth options available for convenience.
